I want to discover a way to sell like Costco Wholesale.😕 We always buy more than we had on our list.😕 We never price check to see if we are “getting a good deal”😕 Our excuse for buying in bulk to not need it for awhile seems to contradict the fact we go EVERY WEEK⁉️Now the one gripe I do have is that our Costco doesn’t have scanners to build your total. I have to empty all the products to be scanned and then still have my receipt checked. What’s up with that? 🤷🏼♂️This hasn’t prevented me from spending thousands, but Costco can use an #automation facelift.P.S. Is there any Costco food item you have tried that you hate? Costco Wholesale continued the trend of "not sharing memberships".And the internet exploded for the wrong reasons.What is the Number 1 reason why this is a great policy? Fraud / theft reduction.Sharing Costco Wholesale, or BJ's Wholesale Club or Sam's Club membership with your children? Maybe. At a certain point, they probably should get their own membership. Checking identification when buying things? Yeah I think that's a great idea. Your ID does not match the credit card being used? If you have a compelling reason (and documentation) then there should not be any issue.Maybe lets think about this from the rational consumer point of view:1. Lower prices because of less shrinkage / increased "cost of doing business".2. Lower potential threat of someone else using your payment method. I experienced a fraudster running around with my credit card a few years ago, and Best Buy and Target did not ID the person (transactions were above $500). 3. Things potentially would be in stock in the store (more often) because they are not being put on the black market. How many blockbuster products are sold out, only to find out that groups of people are going to stores and buying everything to turn around and resell it at a huge premium?4. Membership fees potentially would be stable. If "everyone is paying their fair share" then there would not be loss of revenue due to freeloaders. Netflix found this out. Now Costco Wholesale is doing the same thing.
