- Add this to the slow cooker along with the onions and the sauce.

Preparation and Storage
Make-Ahead: True to form with many Crockpot recipes, this slow cooker beef and broccoli recipe is make-ahead-friendly! Cook it on high for 3 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours, depending on when you need it done.
Storage: Got leftovers of your slow cooker beef and broccoli? Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy them within four to five days.
Freezing/How to Freeze: Leftovers freeze safely for up to three months. Store them in an airtight, freezer-safe container to keep the freezer burn at bay.
How to Reheat: We like reheating individual leftovers in the microwave for speed and efficiency since we often cook for two, but leftover beef and broccoli also reheat well on the stovetop. Add some beef broth to any dry portions to liven them up again.
Recipe Variations
Substitutions: We’ve seen versions that add oyster sauce or hoisin for extra flavor and a thicker sauce. Many large grocery stores stock these items, but check your local Asian grocer if you cannot find them where you usually shop. Keep in mind that anyone with shellfish allergies should avoid oyster sauce.
We served this with white rice but you can defiantly use brown rice, cauliflower rice, or your preferred rice,
For additional flavor you can garnish with red pepper flakes, green onions
Vegetarian + Vegan Option: Tempeh and tofu are great plant-based substitutes for vegetarians and vegans, and they fit well taste-wise in this dish! Be sure also to replace the beef broth with vegetable broth.
Gluten-Free: The barley malt vinegar in Worcestershire sauce makes it unsafe for a gluten-free diet. Coconut aminos are an alternative that contains no gluten or soy, making them a viable option for those with soy allergies. You can also use a bottled gluten free soy sauce or tamari
Smaller Serving Size + Larger Group/More Servings: Scale the written recipe to your desired yield and your slow cooker’s capacity. This recipe serves six people.
Make it Spicy: We’ve seen versions that add sriracha or chili garlic paste for a kick of heat. These products are also widely available at larger grocery stores.
Sugar-Free: This beef and broccoli dish contains 1 gram of sugar, making it a low-sugar entree.
Tips for the Best Crockpot Beef and Broccoli
- We suggest using a Slow Cooker with a digital timer that automatically switches the slow cooker to warm after a set time to ensure your dinner cooks perfectly and you don't have to stress about the cooking time.
