Corrie: Max and Daniel argue about Lauren

Coronation Street fans are convinced they know who is behind Lauren's disappearance. Lauren (Cait Fitton) has been missing for months after vanishing from the Cobbles in January.

After searching Lauren's flat, police found evidence of a physical assault and determined that Lauren is now dead. She was last seen by Roy Cropper (David Neilson), who is currently in prison for her murder.

But viewers have become suspicious of another resident following recent scenes. Last week, Daniel (Rob Mallard) confronted Max (Paddy Beaver) for reporting him to the police and wasting their time.

A baffled Max had no idea what Daniel was talking about before Abi (Sally Carman) revealed that it was actually Bobby (Jack Carroll) who grassed him up.

Later, Max headed to the factory and questioned why Bobby failed to tell him about Daniel’s involvement in Lauren’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Bethany (Lucy Fallon) read an article online suggesting that Lauren was working as an escort.

This gave Daniel the idea to call Nicky. But as Daniel left to meet her, he was followed by Max. He watched on in excitement as he snapped pictures of Daniel and her friend Deana.

Max explained to Bobby that he recognised Nicky as a sex worker and Daniel must be hiding something.

But while Max appears keen to prove Daniel's involvement, other viewers believe it could be a cover-up.

Writing on a Facebook group, one asked: "Do you think Max killed Lauren? He seems hell-bent on blaming Daniel." Another agreed: "He's horrible and deffo hiding something."

A third claimed: "He looks like a nutter!" Echoing this, someone else speculated: "I think it's a toss up between Max and Bobby."

Next week, Roy is set to face further turmoil as he collapses in his cell. Behind bars, he experiences another flashback of Lauren approaching the café with Max.

However, his train of thought is interrupted when a prison officer knocks on his cell door. Upon entering Roy's cell, the guard discovers Roy collapsed on the floor.

After a visit from Mary (Patti Clare) in hospital, Roy makes a call from prison to Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), informing her about Lauren's necklace and suggesting that if they can trace its origin, they might be able to identify her mystery boyfriend.
