Masters Week has arrived in Augusta.
The first of four men's major golf tournaments begins this Thursday with just under 90 golfers competing to don the iconic green jacket awarded to the Masters tournament winner.
This year, Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy is one of the top picks to win the tournament by current odds. Since turning professional in 2007, the Masters remains the one major McIlroy has yet to win. He came in second place in 2022 with a final round surge – shooting a 64, eight strokes under par – that still left him three strokes short of champion Scottie Scheffler.

Rory McIlroy 2024 golfing performances
McIlroy has played in six PGA TOUR tournaments so far this year: the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Genesis Invitational, the Cognizant Classic, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship and the Texas Open.
The Northern Irish golfer has finished outside the top 15 in each one besides the Texas Open. He finished third in San Antonio with a final score of -11.
McIlroy has also played in two DP World tournaments – the Dubai Invitational and Hero Dubai Desert Classic – in 2024. He finished tied for second in the former (-18 final score) and won the latter (-14).
